The Keck Memorial Library presents, Build a Better World, for the 2017 summer library program. It will encourage librarians and patrons of all ages to look at their home, their community, and the planet.
What does it take to “Build a Better World?” It depends on where we live and how we look at the world. Maybe it is as simple as learning how to fix a leaky faucet, organizing a food drive for the local food bank, discovering the founders of your community, knitting caps for chemotherapy patients, or being an armchair traveler and discovering the wonders of the world.

The 2017 Summer Reading Program is open to Everyone pre-school to adults, with programs, prize drawings, storytimes, a reading club, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program. Registration for “Build a Better World” begins on May 25, 2017. For more information, call the library at 319-523-5261 or visit our website, or Follow us on Facebook @Keck Memorial Library for all things library!

Activities may include costume creation, group games, physical challenges, art projects, science and engineering experiments, and more.

All programs are FREE of charge!
