Online magazines, newspapers, and other reference tools.

The library subscribes to EBSCOhost, a web-based information resource which includes full text magazines, newspapers and reference tools.  You can search it from any computer with Internet access - at home, work, school or at the library.

Check out the new Small Business Reference Center™ provides up-to-date information on relevant topics, from starting a company, operations management and sales, to growing or rescuing a business.

The database contains nearly 400 full-text periodicals and over 450 full-text reference books to independently address a wide range of small business topics, including: 

  • Buying/selling a business
  • Managing employees
  • Writing a business plan
  • Understanding legal information
  • Marketing a business
  • And much more…

Access to EBSCOhost is made possible through a partnership between the State Library of Iowa and Iowa's Area Education Agencies. Primary funding is provided by the State Library using federal Library Services and Technology Act dollars.

You can access both databases by going to the the library catalog page.  Log into your library account.  Then click on the EBSCOhost icon.
